PUBLIC STRATEGIC PROJECTION
Capabilities → Assets → Products → Markets → Evidence
Fountain Coach is not adequately described as one application. It develops and governs a reusable software-production capability from which products, infrastructure, developer instruments, and possible ecosystems can be created.
This is a public status projection, not a promise of commercial availability. Existing, operational, experimental, proposed, open-infrastructure, and commercially-available are separate states.
1 · Capabilities
Capabilities describe what Fountain Coach can do repeatedly. They are productive competence, not products.
Scenario-led software development with evidence and publication boundaries.
Swift and Apple-platform work used by Reframe and its tools.
Technical standards become traceable machine-readable representations.
Software-side communication and bounded instruments; hardware claims remain separate.
2 · Assets
Assets are persistent things created, maintained, controlled, or stewarded by Fountain Coach. Some are intentionally open.
Reusable development infrastructure with mixed public and private boundaries.
An implementation and documentation asset; the MIDI Association remains normative authority.
Public projections, repositories, tests, domains, and evidence boundaries.
3 · Products
Products are identifiable offerings that people can adopt, operate, install, license, or consume.
Current flagship product and reference implementation; commercial availability is not asserted here.
A reusable platform projection whose external business model remains proposed.
A catalogue and architectural preview, not an operational marketplace.
4 · Markets and business models
Fountain Coach maintains a portfolio of distinct economic engines rather than one company-wide canvas.
Business Model Canvas for customers, value, distribution, pricing, support, and costs.
Proposed platform model for developers, licensing, hosted infrastructure, certification, and support.
Ecosystem-value model: adoption, reuse, interoperability, authority, and downstream activity.
Proposed multi-sided platform for users, developers, hardware makers, and distribution.
5 · Evidence
Every important strategic claim has an evidence lifecycle: proposed → implemented → demonstrated → evidenced → externally verified.
Estate, Governance, Book, MIDI2, and Instruments.
Decision model
Need → Capability → Asset → Product or Infrastructure → Business Model → Strategic Position → Evidence → Reuse.
